Jaine followed a somewhat unconventional career path early on, beginning what was to become a highly successful career as a Remote Area Nurse. Jaine spent several adventurous years working in some of the most geographically hostile environments in Australia. Jaine’s passion for the bush and her dedication to delivering compassionate and quality health care saw her build lasting relationships with the Kuuku Ya’u and Umpila people of Cape York – a feat she is immensely proud of.
Isolation was a great teacher of value for Jaine, she realised how little she needed things and how much she needed connection. Always the spontaneous one, Jaine decided to leave behind nursing and the bush and follow her sister into a completely new adventure, something she seems to spend a lot of her time doing. Jaine brings her resourcefulness and her unwavering passion for people to this project and as such we’ll call her the Sparkle of The Circular Experiment.

Ashleigh took a more roundabout way to find her true north. After an incredibly tumultuous adolescence Ash discovered she could best serve the world by bringing her truest, most authentic self to the table everyday. With this in mind Ash threw herself into academics with a desire to learn as much as she could about the world around her. Ash has received numerous awards and accolades in her field of Environmental Management including the Prime Ministers Australia Asia Award and the Early Career Environmental Health Professional of the Year. Ash is fiercely determined to positively influence the health of the world's environment and uses her tenacity, positivity, and sheer capacity for hard work to achieve her goals.
Ashleigh’s pioneering research and environmental work - both nationally and internationally - highlighted to her that to achieve change on the scale she aspires will require whole systems thinking. Ashleigh is dedicated to nurturing ideas that disrupt business as usual to ensure that Circular thinking is not only adopted but relished as a means to cultivate innovation and improve the system as a whole. In light of this we’ll call her the Substance of The Circular Experiment.
AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.
